Pledges
SIGN UP! RAISE MONEY! RUN, WALK & FEEL PROUD!
Your
pledges will save the lives of homeless dogs and cats that need our
help. Help us change the world for their sake.
SET UP YOUR OWN ON-LINE Fundraising Page. We encourage
you to take advantage of this great fundraising tool and create a personal web
page to help raise money on-line for the homeless animals in our community.
(Collect at least $25 in pledges and your entry fee is waived!)
Start a "Team" Fundraising Page with a group of friends, coworkers, neighbors
show the world that your company cares about homeless animals!!!
OR Round up pledges by printing the Entry Brochure. Then talk to
friends, family members, co-workers, and businesses...all donations are tax
deductible and will go directly toward food and medical care for needy pets in our community!
The top three individuals who collect the most pledges will be recognized on the day
of the race. Determination of the highest fundraisers will be based
on the amount of pledge money turned in on or prior to the day of the
event.
Can't Make the Race?
Be a part of the fun
and part of the solution without the run! If you would like to support
PetPromise's
mission and you want to help save the lives of homeless pets but cannot
participate or attend,
collect pledges and register by mail as a "PetPromise Cat Napper". You will receive a PetPromise Spay/Neuter
Awareness wristband
and you can "sleep in" knowing that you helped animals in need!

What is

PetPromise is dedicated to

and a time where there are no more homeless pets through education, rescue,
sterilization,
and adoption.
Each year 12 million animals are euthanized in
the United States.
That is 1 million a month
1,388 animals an hour ... PetPromise is working tirelessly to decrease this
statistic.

Each year PetPromise rescues and provides food and medical

Once again, for the 2011 PetPromise® Rescue Run & Walk for Homeless Pets, we have included a
"Vendor" participation category. For just $25 your business may set up your own table
and/or tent in a designated area on the day of the PetPromise Rescue Run and sell approved goods or
services. (You must be selling something at the event in order to qualify as a vendor..with preference givin to unique handmade goods, food vendors.)
This is an opporunity to reach over 1000 people from all over central Ohio!

What is the Rescue Run?
The PetPromise RESCUE RUN & WALK is a 5K run/walk and festival held
annually on Memorial Day Weekend at McFerson Commons park in the Arena District
promoting awareness of the pet
overpopulation problem and supporting efforts to change the future for all
homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization, and
adoption.
Over 1,000 people — including those from small local companies, large corporations, parents, pet owners, students, family teams, local schools, and colleges
—
participated in the 2010 RESCUE RUN & WALK and raised
more than $45,000.00
for lifesaving PetPromise Programs &
Services!
We hope you'll take
a step in making a difference and join us in
2011!
The walk/run will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 RAIN OR SHINE in
the Arena District in Downtown Columbus (at McFerson Commons Park accross the
street from the Arena Parking Lot.). Mark you calendars now!
The festivities will again start at 8:00 am...and continue after all of the walkers
and runners have finished.
Be sure to come early and stick around after
the race to enjoy all of the festivities including music, raffles & prizes,
vendors' booths with great gifts and jewlery, $15 micro-chipping by the Rascal Unit, clothing and food to buy, free
animal products and items for sale, food, drinks,
animal welfare organizations, pools for the dogs, contests, prizes, a celebration parade
more!

All walkers, runners, kids, families, teams, and friendly dogs are
invited to join in the fun!
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the walk/run starts promply 10:30 a.m. The
5K run/walk will take place through the streets of downtown
Columbus.
