8:30 am	Registration begins- McFerson Commons Park with breakfast snacks, entertainment, doggy pools and treats, vendor's booths, animal welfare group booths, live music by City Folk, and more!
9:45 am	Opening Ceremonies with WSYX's own Anthony Rothman and PetPromise Board Members
10:00 am	Walk/Race Begins on Nationwide Blvd.--South side of Nationwide Arena--5K Run & Walk
10:30 - 2:00 pm	Celebration Festival with live music by City Folk Raffle Prizes, ice cream, food, water, face painters, vendor's booths with lots of food and fun and unique items for sale, animal welfare and rescue organizations with information, free goodies for people and dogs and more!

Pledges
SIGN UP! RAISE MONEY! RUN, WALK & FEEL PROUD!
Your pledges will save the lives of homeless dogs and cats that need our help. Help us change the world for their sake.

SET UP YOUR OWN ON-LINE Fundraising Page. We encourage you to take advantage of this great fundraising tool and create a personal web page to help raise money on-line for the homeless animals in our community.

(Collect at least $25 in pledges and your entry fee is waived!)

Start a "Team" Fundraising Page with a group of friends, coworkers, neighbors show the world that your company cares about homeless animals!!!

OR Round up pledges by printing the Entry Brochure. Then talk to friends, family members, co-workers, and businesses...all donations are tax deductible and will go directly toward food and medical care for needy pets in our community!

Top three (3) individuals who collect the most pledges will receive a prize. Prizes are awarded on the amount of pledge money turned in on or prior to the day of the event.

Can't Make the Race?
Be a part of the fun and part of the solution without the run! If you would like to support PetPromise's mission and you want to help save the lives of homeless pets but cannot participate or attend, collect pledges and register by mail or register on-line as an "Absentee Participant". You will receive a PetPromise Spay/Neuter Awareness wristband and you can "sleep in" knowing that you helped animals in need!

Directions
McFerson Commons Park: Downtown Columbus to the corner of Nationwide Blvd. (accross the street from the Arena Parking lot)

Festivities and registration will take place in the open green space under the old Union Station arch.

Parking
Parking is available in the parking garage located on Nationwide Blvd. for $3 (bring exact change as there are no attendants on Saturdays) or at various lots and on-street metered parking throughout the Arena District.

Our Sponsors underwrite all of the event's expenses. In appreciation of their support and concern for animals, we encourage you to frequent their businesses.

What is PetPromise?

PetPromise is dedicated to creating a world
and a time where there are no more homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization,
and adoption.

Each year 12 million animals are euthanized in
the United States. That is 1 million a month
1,388 animals an hour ... PetPromise is working tirelessly to decrease this statistic.

Help us make a change!

Each year PetPromise rescues and provides food and medical care to hundreds of homeless, unwanted, and abused dogs and cats. For most of these animals, PetPromise is thier last hope. Your entry fee and pledges will help give homeless pets a second chance.

VENDORS NEEDED!

New for the 2008 PetPromise� Rescue Run & Walk for Homeless Pets, we have introduced a "Vendor" participation category. For just $25 your company may set up your own table and/or tent in a designated area on the day of the PetPromise Rescue Run and sell approved goods or services. This is an opporunity to reach over 1000 people from all over central Ohio!
